According to Beijing Capital Highway Development Group, the construction of the North Transportation Hub of the Universal Studios Beijing and the Tongma Road Transportation Hub is now progressing rapidly.
These comprehensive transportation complexes will be completed by the end of next year, providing passengers with rail and ground-based public transportation options. The two hubs will further improve supporting facilities to boost the cultural tourism development of Beijing's sub-center.
The North Transportation Hub of the Universal Studios Beijing, situated south of the Qunfang Station on subway Line 7, has a total construction area of approximately 85,000 square meters. The hub will have two underground floors and 10 above-ground floors, enabling passengers to transfer between subway and bus services. Five to six bus routes that reach this hub will be added in the future.
The complex will also feature a five-star hotel, a commercial area, a power supply service center, and a garden on top of the transportation hub. Its main structure is scheduled for completion by Oct. 30, with final completion slated for the end of 2024.
The Tongma Road Transportation Hub is located west of Tongma Road and north of Wansheng South Street. It is connected to the Wansheng West Station on Line 7 and spans about 176,200 square meters. The hub will offer passengers access to five to six bus routes and 23 bus rapid routes. The main structure is expected to be completed by September of this year, with final completion scheduled for September 2024.
In the future, as the cultural tourism area develops, cultural and commercial streets, themed theaters, and other businesses will also be built around the two transportation hubs.
